WDA DIRECTOR GENERAL VISITS ULK POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE

Another important date enters the archives of ULK Polytechnic Institute. It is the date on which the Director General of Workforce Development Authority (WDA), Jerome GASANA visited ULK Polytechnic Institute. This took place on 5th April, 2017.

While at the campus, he enjoyed a warm welcome from the senior management of ULK spearheaded by Prof. Dr. RWIGAMBA Balinda, the Founder and President of ULK.

In his welcome remarks, Prof. Dr. RWIGAMBA Balinda, thanked the Director General of WDA for the visit and then explained where the idea to launch the Polytechnic Institute stemmed from.

The talk by the President and Founder of ULK was supplemented by Dr. KARAMBIZI Sylvestre, the Principal of ULK Polytechnic Institute, who equipped the visiting delegation on the strides made so far ever since the Polytechnic Institute was put in place.

Corroborating the previous speakers, Mr. Kayijamahe Patrick, the Head of Department at ULK Polytechnic Institute, disclosed different departments running under the polytechnic institute and explained how relevant they are to the general public.

The above were not the only personalities to deliver statements as Dr. Ezechiel SEKIBIBI and Dr. Okoko OSAMBO both serving ULK as Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics respectively, supplemented each other by explaining how the polytechnic institute came as a solution to job creation.

It is worth mentioning that the delegation had the privilege to tour the polytechnic institute for a clear view of the services offered therein. It is after the tour that the Director General of WDA, revealed his innermost perceptions. As he said, he was happy with what ULK Polytechnic Instituteis doing.

 

“I’d like to commend the management of this polytechnic Institute for the great job they are doing. Indeed, I appreciate the idea of creating a Polytechnic Institute because it is in line with the vision of the nation which encourages people to be job creators and find solutions to the most pressing problems affecting Rwandans and the world at large”, he enthusiastically said.

Everything considered the delegation along with the management of ULK posed for a group photo and that was the end of the function.
