Exit Awards:

- Bachelor’s Degree Honours in Rural Development
- Diploma of Higher Education in Rural Development

Programme Duration:

- Bachelor’s Degree Honours in Rural Development (4 years)
- Diploma of Higher Education in Rural Development (2 years)

Programme pre-requisite: Rwandan Advanced General Certificate of Secondary Education (or its equivalent)

Career Opportunities in Rural Development at the completion of the programme:

Rural management students may get appropriate employment opportunities in

government’s developmental agencies and non-government organizations (NGOs).

These opportunities including local community and economic development,

nature conservation, environment and community planning;

They can also be hired on full-time or contractual basis to manage developmental

schemes and programs. Corporate run developmental agencies are also the

most favored destinations for some rural managers;

Highly talented Rural Development graduates can find lucrative job options in the UN and its specialized agencies or programmes run by it. International NGOs are also preferred options for many rural graduates’ managers;

They can also run their own NGOs and thereby, directly be associated with rural folk.
